Honouring Pakistan's leading travel partners for their outstanding contribution to promoting Uzbekistan tourism.
The first edition was held in Islamabad. The second will be held in Uzbekistan itself — so that winning is not only an honour but a journey.
Pakistan's leading travel partners will receive their awards in the country they have spent the year selling, meet Uzbek operators, hotels and airlines on their own ground, and see the destination first-hand before they go home to sell it again.
The inaugural Excellence Awards were presented on 31 August 2026 at the Marriott Hotel Islamabad, during the Tourism Road Show Uzbekistan: Where History Meets the Future.
Each of the three guests of honour was presented with a token of thanks on behalf of the organisers.
Media representatives and airline partners attended alongside the travel trade, and the ceremony was covered across the Pakistani tourism press.
Each winner received the Excellence Award trophy and a signed certificate on stage. Special awards were presented to Uzbekistan Airways and Centrum Air Uzbekistan for their contribution to connectivity between the two countries.

The Excellence Awards began as an initiative of Chaudhry Hamid Mahmood, Ambassador of the Tourism Brand of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, and were brought to the stage with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Uzbekistan Tourist Information Center Pakistan.
I will keep building these awards until they are the recognition every travel company in Pakistan wants to win.
Ten awards, kept deliberately few. A category is added only when the market is deep enough to make winning it difficult.
The grand award. One company each year, drawn from the winners of the trade categories and decided by full jury vote. It is not open to direct nomination, and it is not guaranteed to be given: if no company clearly stands above the rest, the jury may withhold it.
Every nomination is measured against the same published weighting, and every figure submitted is checked before it counts.
| Criterion | Weight |
|---|---|
| Passenger and group production | 25% |
| Promotion of Uzbekistan | 20% |
| Digital and social media activity | 15% |
| Innovation in Uzbekistan packages | 10% |
| Cooperation with Uzbek partners | 10% |
| Industry reputation | 10% |
| Customer service and satisfaction | 10% |
| Total | 100% |
Media and partnership categories are scored on reach, quality and contribution rather than passenger volume.
Passenger and group numbers submitted in a nomination are verified by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Pakistan against visas issued during the qualifying year.
A company that overstates its production is withdrawn from the whole cycle.

What matters is what a winner can use for the twelve months afterwards.
Winners may display the badge on their website, office window, brochures, email signature and social media until the following year's awards.
It carries the year, so it cannot be reused indefinitely. That is the point — companies come back to defend it.
Issued to winners in print and web formats within two weeks of the ceremony.
A section of this site, open only to award winners, where they can book Uzbekistan at preferential rates negotiated for them by the Uzbekistan Tourist Information Center Pakistan.
Access is granted for the twelve months a company holds an award, and renews only if it wins again.
Entry is free and open through July 2027, closing on 31 July. A company may enter up to three categories.
Your entry is sent securely to the awards secretariat. Attach photographs, campaign material and press cuttings by replying to the acknowledgement email. You will receive an acknowledgement within three working days.
